20th International Conference on the Safety of Botanicals

Oxford, MS: August 16th – 20th, 2020

The 2020 meeting will celebrate the 20th annual Oxford International Conference on the Science of Botanicals and the 10th year of the ABC-AHP-NCNPR Botanical Adulterants Prevention Program (BAPP). Attended by members of CFSAN/FDA, government officials, academic researchers, major trade associations and industry representatives, the conference will cover approaches for post-market surveillance, risk and safety assessment, quality control and adverse event reporting for botanical dietary supplements (BDS), as well as regulatory aspects and other pressing topics that affect BDSs and their impact on consumers. The meeting will also feature a session devoted to the 10th year of operations of BAPP with presentations by Mark Blumenthal, Stefan Gafner, Roy Upton, Michael Levin, and others.

51st International Symposium on Essential Oils (ISEO2020)

Nicosia, Northern Cyprus: September 6th – 9th, 2020

The International Symposium on Essential Oils is an annual meeting that brings together scientists to exchange views and discuss the lates developments in the field of essential oils, natural volatiles, flavors, and fragrances. Due to the relatively high costs of many essential oils, occurrence of adulteration using lower-cost ingredients such as vegetable oils, byproducts from essential oil refinement, or synthetic substances is relatively common. As such, authentication of essential oils and detection of adulteration will be one of the discussion topics at the event.
