Department of Commerce Creates Opportunity for U.S. Natural Products Companies to Exhibit at SANA Fair in Europe

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Service will organize a U.S. Pavilion at the SANA Fair, Europe's largest natural products show in Bologna, Italy, September 8-11, 2005. The DoC invites natural product manufacturers in the United States to participate in this opportunity to increase export sales.

According to an update from the American Herbal Products Association, in 2004 the SANA fair had 1,900 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors, of which 4,000 were from 45 foreign countries (i.e., outside Italy). AHPA says that the Italian market for natural products is growing at an unprecedented 20 percent per year and it is one of the largest in Europe. Excellent opportunities exist for innovative, natural and environmentally friendly products, technologies and services.

American companies which have exhibited at SANA during the past 7 years have rated the U.S. Pavilion as “first class” according to AHPA. For a participation fee of 3,950 euros the DoC offers a turn-key booth and reportedly effective logistics and support services. DoC’s assistance is so comprehensive that U.S. companies can simply send their products for display and make their travel arrangements to Bologna, where the booth will be ready when exhibitors arrive in Bologna.
