Blog discusses legal issues of CAM

Michael H. Cohen, a lawyer who founded the Institute for Integrative and Energy Medicine, has created the Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Law Blog at http://www.camlawblog.com.1 The blog delves into legal issues concerning CAM, ranging in topics from clinical research and insurance to health trends, ethical issues and spirituality in healthcare. Cohen recaps and analyzes newsworthy CAM issues and policy, discussing viewpoints of each issue before dispensing his own responses and asking questions to further discussion.

The Dietary Supplements section of the CAM Law blog, found at http://www.camlawblog.com/cat-dietary-supplements.html, contains several stories on controversial herbal supplements and practices. Currently, Cohen has posted descriptions and reactions to recent news stories about the various issues in the herb industry, Ayurvedic herbal medicines, FDA announcements on matters related to herbs and dietary supplements, and the effects of drugs vs. herbal supplements.2 The CAM Law Blog provides links to other CAM blogs and law blogs as well.
