CIMER announces Chinese version of Web site

The M.D. Anderson Cancer Center has implemented a Chinese version for the top-level pages of its Complementary/ Integrative Medicine Education Resources (CIMER) Web site at www.mdanderson.org/cimer.1 The Web site, a resource for health care professionals, patients and caregivers, is useful for information on incorporating complementary and integrative medicine with conventional cancer care.

The site contains a collection of scientifically-derived reviews of complementary cancer treatments, links to online continuing education courses, FDA advisories, news, programs, events, and an International Health and Medical media (FREDDIE) Award-winning series on discussing complementary therapies with patients. The top-level pages, also available in English and Spanish, include the first page for each therapy in the “Reviews of Therapies” link. This page summarizes each monograph written for patients and the public and can be used as a quick reference by health care professionals when guiding patients in the use of these therapies. Other pages feature Resources and Links, Methodology, FAQs, and definitions. Each month more pages will be added in Chinese.
