Name of Drug
Rubi fruticosi folium, blackberry leaf.
Composition of Drug
Blackberry leaf consists of the dried leaf, fermented or unfermented, gathered during the flowering period, of Rubus fruticosus L. [Fam. Rosaceae], as well as its preparations in effective dosage.
Blackberry leaf contains tannins.
Uses

Nonspecific, acute diarrhea, mild inflammation of the mucosa of the oral cavity and throat.

Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed:
Daily dose:
- 4.5 g of leaf;
- equivalent preparations.
Mode of Administration
Comminuted drug for teas, and other preparations for internal use, as well as for mouth washes.
Duration of Administration
If diarrhea persists for longer than 3 - 4 days, consult with a physician.
