Name of Drug
Galangae rhizoma , galangal rhizome, lesser galangal rhizome.
Composition of Drug
Galangal consists of the dried rhizome of Alpinia officinarum Hance [Fam.
Zingi-beraceae], as well as its preparations in effective dosage.
The rhizome contains essential oil, pungent principles, and flavonoids.
