Name of Drug
Graminis flos, hay flower.
Composition of Drug
Hay flower consists of the inflorescence, fruits and above-ground parts of Poaceae .
Uses

Topical use:
- heat therapy for degenerative diseases, such as the various forms of arthritis.
Contraindications
|
|
Open injuries, acute arthritis attacks, acute inflammation.
Side Effects
|
|
Allergic skin reactions are possible in rare cases.
Interactions with Other Drugs
None known.
Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed:
- Externally 1 - 2 times daily as moist heat in the form of compresses.
The hay flower bag is heated to 42° C (ca. 108° F), directly applied to the part to be treated, covered over and left in place for 40 - 50 minutes.
For reasons of hygiene, the contents of the bag should be used only once.
