To help the general reader with the various technical terms used in the translations of the monographs, we have provided definitions for most of the technical or uncommon terms found in the monographs. These include terms from botany, medicine, pharmacy, and human anatomy and physiology. Chemical and biochemical terms are not defined in this glossary but can be found in the Chemical Glossary and Index (see above).
